With The 1st Pick in the NBA Draft….The Kentucky Walk-Ons

Kentucky ran away from Florida in the second half of a 67-50 win on Saturday to become the first Power 5 team since 1976 to earn an undefeated regular season. With it being senior day in Lexington, John Calipari started his senior walk-ons, which led to Our Fan Tweet of the Night from Couch Coach Network:

Given the talent on both of Kentucky’s platoons, it’s only natural that the third, walk-on platoon is full of NBA talent as well. Heck, former Wildcat Kyle Wiltjer transferred to No. 7 Gonzaga to get more playing time and is now one of the best players in the nation.

Thank you, Couch Coach Network, for finding those hidden-gem prospects than no one else could find despite the fact that they’ve been sitting next to John Calipari all season. Now excuse us while we go compare our favorite team’s roster to the Kentucky walk-ons and spend the rest of the day lighting every blue object we can find on fire in disgust.
