Wisconsin PG Jackson Out For 6 Weeks

Wisconsin starting point guard Traevon Jackson injured his foot and will need surgery. Initial estimates are that he will likely miss 6 weeks.

The news was first reported by ESPN’s Jeff Goodman and later confirmed by Wisconsin on the team website.  According to the release, “Jackson will undergo surgery on Thursday and his initial rehab process will begin in 2-3 weeks.”

The injury occurred in the first half of Wisconsin’s loss to Rutgers on Sunday when Jackson rolled his ankle while challenging a three-point shot. Stay tuned to Today’s U for further updates on Jackson’s recovery and what it means for Wisconsin moving forward.
