The day wasn’t all bad for West Virginia. The Mountaineers may have lost on the court today in their Big 12 tournament opener against Baylor, but they won big off the court when elite 4-Star shooting guard Teyvon Myers, the 4th best JUCO prospect in the class of 2015, committed to play for them next year. Evan Daniels of Scout.com broke the news on Twitter this afternoon:
Teyvon Myers verbally committed to West Virginia today, a source confirmed.

Myers is a huge pick-up for the Mountaineers. Originally in the high school class of 2013, Myers brings a ton of experience to a young West Virginia team that loses Juwan Staten after this season. Myers is a lights-out shooter from deep who scores in bunches. Myers averaged over 25 points per game this season for Williston State College in Williston, North Dakota.
