Oxbridge Academy (FL) running back Travis Homer just became the latest addition to Al Golden’s recruiting class for 2016, announcing his decision to commit to Miami on Sunday afternoon.
He joins a crowded—albeit extremely talented—class that already has 21 other commits and ranks No. 3 in the nation (2nd in the ACC behind archrival Florida State, which currently stands at No. 1).
I'm happy to be committed to the 🙌🏽 #Miami#Hurricanes

Despite his three-star ranking, courtesy of 247Sports, Homer held offers from college football’s most prominent programs such as Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, and more, which is a testament to his ability as one of the more underrated prospects at his position.
Seven of the last 10 running backs to rank No. 21 at their position in their class were handed four-star ratings, so what it is that makes Homer different?
Miami tends to pick the right ones when it comes to grooming stars in the backfield, so I’m going to assume the ‘Canes know a little more than everyone else and will get the most out of Homer’s obvious talents.
