Well, the major conference basketball tournaments have finally kicked off, which means it’s time to look at seeding as well as who will make the Big Dance. It’s been a weird season, with really only one No. 1 seed locked, and that’s thanks to an unbelievable 31-0 record.
After that there seems to be a clear cut seven teams – Duke, Villanova, Virginia, Arizona, Kansas, Gonzaga and Wisconsin – to fill out the top two seed lines. But in the famous words of Lee Corso, ‘not so fast my friend.’
There still is work to be done, and if any of these teams slip, it could cause for more mayhem come Selection Sunday. These, however, are the top seeds that absolutely need to win their respective conference tournaments.
