Despite the growing concern that FCS teams are capable of taking down Power Five Conference teams, and have done so plenty of times in the past, Big Ten schools refuse to shy away from scheduling these non-beneficial games.

We all know that games against FCS squads are scheduled as glorified scrimmages, giving the major college football program an opportunity to make some adjustments and add to its win total.

Sometimes, that plan backfires and rather than inch one win closer to bowl eligibility, and a team suffers an embarrassing defeat.
