Syracuse has self-imposed a postseason ban on the basketball program amid an NCAA investigation, according to Syracuse.com.
The ban is effective immediately and will prevent the program from participating in the NCAA Tournament, or any postseason play for that matter, including the ACC Tournament. The move comes ahead of the school’s pending case before the NCAA Committee on Infractions. Syracuse initiated the investigation in 2007 when it reported possible NCAA violations regarding student-athlete support services.
