“It’s a great opportunity for me and my family,” Butler said of Stanford (via Ryan Bartow of 247 sports). “I have the ability to further my education on the next level. It’s a lifetime opportunity.”
The 5’11”, 190-pound CB from Rancho Cucamonga, California (Etiwanda High School) is viewed as a four-star recruit according to 247 sports. He is ranked as the 213th best prospect in the country and the 20th best cornerback. So this quite the coup for David Shaw and the Cardinal.
Shaw is just killing it on the recruiting trail.
Butler is now the 14th member of Shaw’s 2016 recruiting class, which is now ranked as the 11th best class by 247 sports. He picked the Cardinal over interest from Colorado, Illinois, Arizona State, California, Northwestern, Washington and Washington State.
