Ranking SEC Quarterbacks for the 2015 Season

NCAA FOOTBALL: SEP 13 Kentucky at Florida

Much like last preseason, there are plenty of questions at the quarterback position within the Southeastern Conference.

Competition for the No. 1 spot on the depth chart remains tight as we draw near to fall practice, as major programs such as Alabama, Georgia, Florida, LSU, and Ole Miss continue to search for an answer under center.

Mississippi State’s Dak Prescott is the only proven quarterback in the SEC after earning all-conference honors in 2014, but does that make him the league’s best?

Here’s how I rank the SEC’s gunslingers as we grind our way through the end of May.

No. 6-14 (in order): Chad Kelly*, Ole Miss; Brice Ramsey*, Georgia; Patrick Towles*, Kentucky; Jacob Coker*, Alabama; Maty Mauk, Missouri; Will Grier*, Florida; Connor Mitch*, South Carolina; Brandon Harris/Anthony Jennings, LSU; Johnny McCrary*, Vanderbilt.

*Projected starter
