Ranking ACC Quarterbacks for the 2015 Season

NCAA FOOTBALL: DEC 06 ACC Championship Game - Florida State v Georgia Tech

Heisman winner and No. 1 draft pick Jameis Winston is no longer an active member of the college football ranks, but that doesn’t mean the Athletic Coastal Conference is lacking in the quarterback department for the 2015 season.

Returning to the gridiron is soon-to-be sophomore Deshaun Watson, who showed his capabilities as a budding star in spurts last season—he would have had the chance to take the Clemson offense to new heights, but injuries kept him off the field. He’s poised to have a massive year to make up for it.

Also back is Miami (Fla.) standout Brad Kaaya, who also had one of the NCAA’s most sensational rookie debuts. He’s joined by many other ACC quarterbacks—including a Georgia Tech QB (!) that ranks high on this list—that are ready to have stellar performances this fall.

With nearly every offseason competition at the position settled, here’s how I rank all of the conference’s quarterbacks as we grind our way through May.

Others: 6. Sean Maguire, Florida State; 7. Reggie Bonnafon*, Louisville; 8. Marquise Williams, North Carolina; 9. Thomas Sirk*, Duke; 10. Michael Brewer, Virginia Tech; 11. Terrel Hunt, Syracuse; 12. Matt Johns*, Virginia; 13. Darius Wade, Boston College; 14. John Wolford, Wake Forest.

*Projected starter
