Spring practice has run its course, and now we’re looking the infamous “dead period” of college football straight in its eye. From here until the latter parts of July, the only thing we can talk about are the “what-ifs” of this upcoming season, with of course the dreaded (and inevitable) list of transfers and run-ins with the law.
You know what that means? Yeah, you do: more preseason rankings. They’re coming in hot, and I’ve already participated quite a bit—judge me as you will.
With most conferences already taken care of, I’m switching my attention over to the Southeastern Conference, where just four teams make an appearance in my post-spring Top 25 rankings—something I’m sure differs from the norm.
After winning seven straight BCS National Championships, the SEC has taken a backseat the last two years and could be looking at the same outcome in 2015.
But PAWWWWLLLLL. (Sorry, had to throw that in there.)
From here, I’ll be going through the rest of the conferences to determine the early favorite for the 2015 season, using my Top 25 as a guide.
Let’s get to it; here are my post-spring SEC West division rankings. (You can check out my East rankings here.)
