Oregon QB Vernon Adams to Start vs. Washington

After missing the last two games due to a right index finger injury, Oregon senior quarterback Vernon Adams, Jr. will start in tonight’s contest against Washington, per Aaron Fentress of Comcast SportsNet.

Adams last appeared in the Ducks’ 62-20 loss to Utah on September 27. He enters Week 7 with 686 total yards and five touchdowns in two full performances (Eastern Michigan and Michigan State).

Oregon is 1-1 in its last two games without Adams, scoring 41 in a win against Colorado and 38 in last week’s double-overtime loss to Washington State. The Ducks currently rank second in the Pac-12 in total offense (528.7 yards per game) but rank 5th in quarterback efficiency (137.7).

As the starting quarterback for Eastern Washington in 2014, Adams went 31-of-46 for 475 yards and seven touchdowns against Washington in a 59-52 loss.

Kickoff is set for 10:30 p.m. ET.
