Redshirt freshman defensive end Jhonny Williams announced this week that he will transfer from Notre Dame, becoming the fourth player to leave the team this offseason.
The Michigan native was a three-star recruit who spent his first season on campus on the scout team.
Williams joins quarterback Everett Golson, offensive lineman Matt Hegarty and incoming freshman outside linebacker Bo Wallace in leaving the team this offseason.
Notre Dame is still one scholarship over the limit. The Fighting Irish have to be under the limit when their season begins September 5th against the Texas Longhorns.
