No. 1-Ranked LB for 2016 Decommits from Clemson

With a “heavy heart,” IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL) inside linebacker Rahshaun Smith announced his decision to decommit from the Clemson Tigers in pursuit of taking more official visits to other programs.

Smith (6-foot-3, 240 lbs), who verbally committed to Dabo Swinney and Co. back in March, is a four-star prospect and the No. 1-ranked player at his position for his class, per 247Sports. Obviously a colossal loss, this has already bumped down Clemson’s 2016 class team ranking 11 spots to outside the Top 25.

Smith is scheduled to take official visits to LSU on October 17 and Auburn on November 14.
