UPDATE: Miami has fired head coach Al Golden.

The 2015 season has been one of heartache and frustration for the Miami Hurricanes, who, at 4-3, are coming off a 58-0 loss to Clemson.

It was the worst loss in program history, and it only increased the outrage from Hurricanes fans, alum and others connected to the team.

As documented by SB Nation, former ‘Canes stars used Twitter to express their disapproval of Golden, who is 32-25 since taking over Miami football in 2011.

Former defensive lineman Warren Sapp, also a former NFL All-Pro, was one of the more “vocal” on social media, criticizing Golden for not wearing the world-famous “U” on his clothing and the fact that mascot led the team on the field versus Clemson.

Not Golden. Head coach Al Golden.

The following is a series of Sapp’s musings.

Miami travels north to face No. 23-ranked Duke on Saturday. So, naturally, there will be plenty of “trick or treat” references as Golden’s future with Hurricanes football seems to be uncertain. If nothing else, Golden’s tenure has become a sick joke for those who continue to watch.
