Yes, conference tournaments have been going on for over a week now. However, the big time conference tournaments are getting kicked off just now. The ones where a team, like Providence in the Big East last season, can get hot and win a couple games in a row to steal a bid from someone else.
There are plenty of storylines this season, with only one No. 1 seed set in stone. Obviously, that belongs to Kentucky and its 31-0 record. Can the Wildcats stay perfect during the SEC Tournament? In the ACC there are two teams fighting for No. 1 seeds in Duke and Virginia. Will they hold onto that spot or can a team like Notre Dame or North Carolina upset them? Then there’s the Big 12. The deepest conference from top-to-bottom and despite Kansas winning the regular season title, yet again, it’s safe to say this should be the most unpredictable tournament of them all.
