Les Miles and the LSU staff got their second huge commitment of the 2017 recruiting class when they landed 6’2”, 310 pound defensive tackle Tyler Shelvin earlier today. James Smith of The Times-Picayune broke the news late this morning.
Shelvin, out of Northside High School in Lafayette, LA, is rated by 247Sports as the 29th best prospect in the class of 2017. He is the second LSU commit for the class of 2017, joining linebacker/running back Dylan Moses out of University High in Baton Rouge. Moses is the top prospect in the class of 2017.
