Creighton salts the game away at free-throw line and runs away with 78-63 victory . Creighton now advances to Big East Quarterfinals and will face No. 2 seed Georgetown Thursday night at 9:30 ET.

Creighton clearly wants this game more, now up 72-56 with 2:35 to go in game. James Milliken leads all scorers with 22 points. Austin Chatman only other Bluejay in double figures with 11 points (7-8 from free-throw line).

DePaul is clearly on the ropes. Now down 67-53 with 4:34 to go. Demons are shooting .438 percent, while Creighton is shooting .490 percent. Bluejays also out-rebounding Demons 31-25. Demons also have nine turnovers while Bluejays have just four on the night.

James Milliken with big and one. Puts Creighton up 58-48 with 8:21 to go. Milliken is definitely bringing it tonight, as DePaul can’t stop him. DePaul also amassing some big time foul trouble, as they have nine team fouls to Creighton’s four.  Creighon now up 59-48 with 7:50 to go. Bill Garrett Jr. going to line after timeout.

 

We got a good one at Madison Square Garden. Creighton up 53-48 with 10:29 to go in game. Creighton coming up big shots and loose balls.

Creighton getting a lot of easy baskets. Take 44-41 lead with 15:47 to go. Milliken leading the way with 19 points (7-10 from field, 3-4 from three-point range).

At halftime Creighton leads DePaul 35-33 after Geoffrey Groselle converts layup at buzzer to give Bluejays momentum. Otherwise, teams evenly matched at half. DePaul shooting .429 percent from floor, while Creighton is oddly shooting same exact amount. Creighton outrebounding DePaul 17-16. Myke Henry leads DePaul with 8 points, while James Milliken leads the Bluejays with 15 (5-7 from field). Should be interesting second half.

Myke Henry of DePaul takes hard foul; makes one of two free throws. Hamilton later  gets fouled and makes one of two free throws and ties up game at 27. Zach Hanson responds with easy layup and then Devin Brooks nails three to push Creighton ahead 32-27 with 2:30 to go.

DePaul has picked up on offense, now shooting .444 from the floor. As usual it’s their defense that’s the issue, as they are allowing Creighton to shoot 8=16 from the field.  Creighton up 24-20 with 7:45 to go in first half.

Creigton’s James Milliken comes ready to play. Already with three three-point field goals. Avery Dingman also hits from deep, as Creighton goes on 6-0 run to take 20-14 lead with 11:42 to go in first half.

Tommy Hamilton back in game for DePaul after siting out season finale at Marquette. Right off the bat he hits three to make immediate impact. And the next time he touches the ball, Billy Garrett Jr. feeds him ball down low for and 1. Hamilton misses FT. Creighton up 11-10 with 13:58 to go.

After first media timeout, Creighton up 7-5 over DePaul. DePaul a little sluggish getting off good shots (1-5 from the field). Meanwhile, Creighton is 3-6 from the floor and spacing the floor well.
