Kirk Herbstreit Gets “Attacked” By Zombies On Live Television

ESPN’s primetime broadcast of No. 9 Notre Dame vs. No. 21 Temple was interrupted right before the start of the second half by what appeared to be the flesh-eating antagonists from the world of “The Walking Dead”.

That’s what popular television analyst Kirk Herbstreit must have thought, at least according to the shriek he let out when realizing that one of these pesky “Walkers” was heading right towards him. Herbstreit let out a shrill scream and then cowered in fear, to the amusement of co-host Chris Fowler.

The moment was, of course, caught on camera; and it immediately made its rounds on social media.

Fowler was obviously in on the trick (not a treat, unfortunately for Herbstreit), and the best part about it was him laughing with glee at his co-hosts unfortunate on-camera scare.

While tonight’s game between the two ranked opponents is a huge one—and it’s lived up to the hype, so far— it’s also Halloween; so it’s nice to see the ESPN take a minute to let its hair down and prank one of the more popular media members in college football today.

Of course, it wouldn’t have been so funny had Herbstreit not squealed like a little kid at a haunted house; so thank you for that moment, Kirk.

Happy Halloween.
