The Illinois Fighting Illini will be without their second-leading rusher and second-leading receiver for Saturday’s contest against Wisconsin, as running back Josh Ferguson and wide receiver Marchie Murdock have been ruled out for the game against the Badgers by interim head coach Bill Cubit.

Jeremy Werner of Illini Inquirer released Illinois’ injury report on Twitter Thursday night.

Ferguson, a 5’10”, 200-pound senior from Naperville, Illinois, will miss his second-straight game with a right shoulder injury. He is the Illini’s second-leading rusher this season, rushing for 397 yards and three touchdowns on 71 carries. Freshman running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn (407 rushing yards and three touchdowns) will be expected to carry the load again in his absence.

Murdock, a 6’1”, 195-pound sophomore from Arlington, Texas, who is nursing a thigh bruise, will be out for a second-straight game, too. He is second on the team with 194 receiving yards to go with three touchdowns on 20 receptions.
