Half the field for the inaugural Cayman Islands Classic was announced on Wednesday, with Iowa and Cincinnati headlining the field. Caymax Sports Ltd., which will run the tournament in conjunction with Global Sports Management, issued a release confirming the news.
New tourney starting in Nov. 2017 in Cayman Islands. Global Sports Management has Cincinnati, Iowa, UAB, Wyoming thus far in 8-team field.

The other teams making up half the field are UAB and Wyoming. All of the teams announced thus far made last season’s NCAA Tournament, and each won 20 games as well. The other half of the field will be released at a later date.
These tournaments to exotic locations are always a fun time for sun, sand and hoops. The Cayman Islands Classic will be played in November of 2017.
