You wanted it, and ESPN College Gameday is making sure you get it.
The four-letter network recently announced that it’ll be taking its traveling panel of experts and predictions to Ann Arbor for this Saturday’s Michigan vs. Michigan State showdown at Michigan Stadium.
The Spartans, who are an underwhelming 6-0 (2-0 Big Ten), will get a chance to test the No. 1-ranked defense in the nation. The Wolverines (5-1, 2-0 B1G) have lost six of the past eight meetings with Michigan State, but they haven’t allowed a point in more than 40 offensive drives and have incredible numbers on their side heading into this weekend.

It might not be a 38-0 blowout, but Michigan seems destined for yet another stellar defensive showing. The Wolverines have demolished opponents by a score of 157-7 during the past 19 quarters, per a stat provided by Kurt Svoboda of the Michigan athletic department. Interestingly enough, Michigan posted the most recent shutout on the Spartans, winning 14-0 on Oct. 28, 2000.
Happy almost 15-year-anniversary, guys. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET. All eyes will be on coach Jim Harbaugh, who could notch a season-defining victory over a bitter rival before ending the season in Ann Arbor versus Ohio State.
Maybe ESPN will be at that one, too? It’s worth noting that Michigan State was the No. 4-ranked team in the nation prior to Week 6 play. Michigan was No. 18, per the Associated Press. Assuming the Wolverines jump a few spots, spectators could witness the first top-15 matchup between the teams since 2003.
