Derrick Gordon Transferring to Seton Hall

Former UMass guard Derrick Gordon will transfer to Seton Hall, where he will be eligible to play immediately.

Gordon announced his decision on Twitter.

Gordon averaged 9.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game last season as a redshirt junior. He’ll join a Seton Hall team that is desperate for guards.

Seton Hall’s leading scorer Sterling Gibbs announced he’ll transfer to UConn. Guard Jared Sina announced his intention to transfer in February.

Gordon is the first openly-gay player in Division I men’s basketball history.
