We’re right in the middle of bowl season, but that doesn’t mean everything has to revolve around football.

College basketball proved that this past weekend with a slate of games that even casual fans would enjoy. It was a weekend deemed by new Around the U Host Adam Hernandez as “Bloody Saturday”, because multiple ranked teams found themselves on the losing end of the stick against supposed “inferior” opponents.

Anything can happen in college basketball, and that’s partially why so many people love it so much. To start out the new and improved (not to mention LIVE) #AroundTheUPod, Hernandez and co-host Andrew Kulha discussed, in particular, Kentucky, Iowa State and Duke basketball, three big-time programs that were all upset this past weekend.

Of course, it’s December which means football is still king, so don’t think for one second that the guys didn’t turn their attention to the pigskin.

Along with a quick conversation about Texas A&M transfer quarterback Kyler Murray and why the Texas Longhorns decided he wasn’t a fit for them, Around the U also went into the hiring of Don Brown for Michigan as a defensive coordinator and the impact that move will have on the Wolverines.
