Former five-star linebacker Clifton Garrett will transfer from LSU to an unknown JUCO school, according to Justin Hopkins of 247Sports.
The No. 28 recruit in the Class of 2016 was redshirted this past season but figured to have large role for the Tigers this coming fall. Garrett looked to be the perfect “Mike” linebacker for Les Miles’ system, but he’ll have to rebuild his career at another school. Clearly, the talent is there for one of the top linebackers in the class, and a return to the NCAA in the future would not be surprising.
