Kentucky’s John Calipari said Tuesday on his official site that he may never platoon players again.
The head coach also dished on the season as a whole, coming up short of a national title, and the future of those leaving the program for the NBA.
Though he stood behind the platoon system, he said it was a product of the amount of talent on the roaster and not a traditional route that he will always go to. Ten Kentucky players averaged at least 10 minutes per game, and no player saw the court more than 26 minutes per contest.
The Wildcats will likely be national title contenders again next season, but expect the Hall of Famer to uniquely tailor his approach to the roster he has in Lexington once more.
