Louisville took down Miami in a nail-biter on Saturday, but the knockout of the game came when the Cardinals’ Montrezl Harrell pegged Miami’s Tonye Jekiri in the face with the basketball. Apparently the great sport of wall ball is not sanctioned by the NCAA, because Harell was given a technical foul for the heave, leading to our Fan Tweet of the Night by Greg:
Oh to return to the days of wall ball and pre-teens trying to self govern through pegging each other with any ball that would leave a welt. The NCAA has had some questionable ideas over the years, and I sincerely hope it adopts Greg’s thinking, putting rules that have existed for decades aside by allowing peg backs in organized sport.
Thank you, Greg, for reminding us that basketball, like all sports, would be the most entertaining if played with the mindset of grade school boys. I can only imagine how many children Harrell scarred(or rather bruised) in his days as a wall-balling youngster.
