Wisconsin’s Frank Kaminsky and Duke’s Jahlil Okafor are among five selected for the AP All-America Team, which was announced Monday.
Kaminsky and Okafor are considered the frontrunners for the Player of the Year awards as well. Notre Dame’s Jerian Grant, Kentucky’s Willie Cauley-Stein, and Ohio State’s D’Angelo Russell round out the five players selected.
Kaminsky, Okafor, and Cauley-Stein will play this Saturday in the Final Four, while Grant and the Fighting Irish came up just short in the Elite Eight and Russell’s Buckeyes fell in the Round of 32.
Russell leads the All-America team in the scoring column with 19.3 points per game this year, though Kaminsky’s balance of 18 points and 8 rebounds per game should give him the edge in most of the postseason awards.
