Defending national champion and preseason No. 1 Alabama had six players – more than any other team – named to the 2016 Preseason Coaches All-Southeastern Conference Team announced by the conference Thursday.

Each of the SEC’s 14 schools had at least one player named. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.
The six Crimson Tide players selected: wide receiver Calvin Ridley, tight end O.J. Howard, offensive lineman Cam Robinson, defensive lineman Jonathan Allen, linebacker Reuben Foster and defensive back Eddie Jackson.
Alabama won the SEC championship last season and is favored again this season.
