Wake Forest junior forward Aaron Rountree III has announced his intention to leave Wake Forest and finish his college basketball career elsewhere as a graduate student next year.
Rountree, who will graduate from Wake Forest in August, is a fan favorite among the Wake Forest community and fan base. He averaged only three points and three rebounds in 25 games this season but it was his defensive intensity and unique skill set that will be missed the most. Rountree is a tremendously long and agile combo forward adept at blocking shots and getting into passing lanes. He was the ultimate utility man for the Demon Deacons, always diving for loose balls and wreaking havoc on players of all positions.
Rountree officially announced his decision to finish his final year of eligibility elsewhere via his personal Twitter account:
