The day keeps getting better for the Florida Gators. Highly coveted defensive end CeCe Jefferson out of Glen Saint Mary, Florida has decided to stay in his home state and play for the Florida Gators. Alex Byington of the Opelika-Auburn News broke the news of Jefferson’s commitment on Twitter.

Jefferson is the 7th ranked overall recruit in the class of 2015 according to 247Sports. He will be an immediate impact player for the Gators next year. He’s a tremendous athlete for his size (6’2”; 275 lbs) and he possesses otherworldly quickness and strength.
After the firing of Will Muschamp, it looked like Jefferson could potentially go to Ole Miss but, when it came to signing time, he stuck with the Gators. Jefferson also had offers from fellow SEC schools LSU, Auburn, and Alabama
