4-Star WR Freddie Swain Commits to Florida

The Florida Gators are not just making waves on the field, but on the recruiting trail as well, as on Friday coach Jim McElwain and the Gators secured the services of 2016 four-star wide receiver Freddie Swain when he committed to play for Florida.

Swain, a 6’1”, 188-pound wide receiver from Citra, Florida (North Marion High School), is rated as a four-star recruit according to 247 Sports. He is ranked as the No. 165 player in the 2016 class and the 29th best wide receiver in the country.

Swain chose the Gators over interest from USC, Tennessee, Miami and Arkansas.

This is the 21st commitment for McElwain in the 2016 class. 247 Sports ranks the Gators with having the 14th best 2016 recruiting class.
