Jackson marks the fourth top-100 recruit to sign up for Ollies’ splendid 2016 recruiting class, as Jackson will join a class that already includes four-star point guard Alteique Gilbert and four-star power forwards Juwan Durham and Mamadou Diarra. Not to mention, Ollie will be welcoming in key VCU transfer Terry Larrier next season as well.
Jackson, a 6’8”, 220-pound forward from Pasadena, California (Prolific Prep), is rated as a four-star recruit according to 247 Sports. The site ranks Jackson as the No. 51 recruit in the 2016 class and the 10th best small forward in the country.
He chose the Huskies over strong interest from California (the only schools he officially visited), while also yielding offers from USC, Arizona, Arizona State and Maryland among others.
With the addition of Jackson, UConn’s 2016 class now ranks as the third best in the country according to 247 Sports.
