The BigSpur first reported the news on Wednesday.
This is certainly a big get for Muschamp and company, as Kinlaw is a US Army All-American. He’ll be a nice building block as one of Mushamp’s first-ever big-time recruits. As a native of the state, Kinlaw was a strong lean all along to South Carolina and on Wednesday he finally pulled the trigger to stay home.
Kinlaw, a 6’6”, 273-pound offensive tackle from Goose Creek (Goose Creek High School), South Carolina, is rated by 247 Sports as a four-star recruit. The site ranks Kinlaw as the No. 310 overall prospect in the class of 2016 and the 30th-best offensive tackle in the country. 247 Sports also ranks Kinlaw as the fourth-best football player in the state of South Carolina.
He chose the Gamecocks while turning down offers from Florida State, Louisville, Florida, Alabama, Clemson, East Carolina and Miami (Ohio).
Kinlaw is South Carolina’s 16th class of 2016 commitment. 247 Sports now ranks the Gamecocks with having the 40th best class in the country.
