Wisconsin football coach Paul Chryst is rolling in picking up four-star commitments from Arizona today, as class of 2017 four-star offensive guard Kayden Lyles committed to the Badgers on Thursday. Earlier in the day, class of 2016 four-star defensive tackle Garrett Rand also made his pledge to play for Wisconsin.

Lyles, a 6’3”, 290-pound guard from Scottsdale, Arizona (Saguaro High School), is rated as a four-star recruit according to 247 Sports. The Site ranks Lyles as the No. 95 recruit in the 2017 class and the fourth best offensive guard in the country.
He chose the Badgers over interest from Arizona, Arizona State, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Notre Dame among others. Lyles is Wisconsin’s first commitment of the 2017 class.
Rand, a 6’3”, 275-pound defensive tackle from Chandler, Arizona (Hamilton High School), is viewed as a four-star recruit by 247 Sports as well. The site ranks Rand as the No. 131 recruit in the 2016 class and the 15th best defensive tackle.
He chose the Badgers over interest from Arizona, Arizona State, Boston College, Illinois, Nebraska, UCLA, Stanford and many others.
Nebraska’s 2016 recruiting class (which includes 20 commitments at the moment) currently ranks as the 24th best in the country according to 247.
