Fast rising class of 2016 power forward Kevin Marfo verbally committed to George Washington on Friday. This is quite the coup for the burgeoning A-10 squad, as they make headway on the recruiting trail.
Marfo made his announcement on Twitter, while thanking the schools that recruited him.
I am grateful and appreciative to all the schools that recruited me. But I will be spending the next 4 years at George Washington University

Marfo, a 6’8”, 240-pound forward from Oradell, New Jersey (Worcester Academy), is rated as a three-star prospect according to 247 Sports. The site ranks Marfo as the No. 153 recruit in the 2016 class and the 37th best power forward.
He chose the Colonials over interest from Boston College, Providence, Georgia Tech and DePaul. This comes after George Washington legacy Darnell Rogers committed to the program earlier in the week. Marfo is George Washington coach Mike Lonergan’s third commitment of the 2016 class.
