Class of 2016 three-star post player Faustine Aifuwa committed to Nikki Caldwell and the LSU Lady Tigers on Monday. She is fast-rising prospect and is an important recruit for Caldwell and the Tigers, as LSU tries to bolster its frontcourt.
Aifuwa made her announcement on Twitter.

“I really liked the people and I got along with the coach and the players really well,” Aifuwa said (per Will Hammock of the Gwinnett Daily Post). “The environment was amazing and it was close to home, too. … It feels really good. A lot of weight comes off my shoulders, knowing I’m at a place I feel wanted and will love to be at. It feels really good.”
Aifuwa, a 6’3” center from Dacula, Georgia (Dacula High School), is rated as a three-star recruit according to ESPN. The site ranks her as the 15th best post player in the 2016 class. She chose the Tigers over interest from Louisville and Texas A&M.
ESPN says Aifuwa has next-level size and is developing a nice back-to-the-basket game. She is also a stalwart on defense, too. Aifuwa also earned Atlanta Journal-Constitution Honorable-Mention AAAAAA All-State in 2015.
