In what was a scary and frightening incident, 2017 defensive end recruit Deandre Johnson was stabbed at his high school on Tuesday.
It is being reported that Johnson was stabbed by a fellow student, a 12th grade female whose name is not being disclosed, and that the female student is now being charged with attempted murder. The incident caused Johnson’s school, Miami Killian Senior High School, to go into lock down.
The school was on lock down after a 17-year-old female allegedly stabbed a 15-year-old, 10th grade male football player. Police have also charged her with possession of a weapon on school grounds.
Police have not confirmed but friends told CBS4 that the student stabbed is Deandre Johnson.
The female, according to Miami Dade Schools Police, is a 12th grader. Police said it is her first year at Killian and that she went to the school from a charter school.
Johnson’s father, Andre, would go on to say Deandre was shook up and that“he’s trying to be upbeat.” In the end, his father said that he should be “ok.”
According to 247sports.com, Johnson (6’2”, 220 pounds) is being recruited by the likes of Temple (offer), Army, Duke and Miami and owns a 4.70 40-yard dash.
