Wisconsin landed a transfer on Thursday when former Alabama linebacker Christian Bell announced his new commitment to the Badgers.
This came just a few days after he announced his intent to transfer away from the Crimson Tide.

Though Bell didn’t give any reasoning for his transfer,
Some of the possible reasons Bell is transferring? Alabama is very deep at outside linebacker and has several other young outside linebackers who were higher-rated recruits than Bell and were ahead of Bell on the depth chart.
Bell is the fourth Tide player to decide to leave the program since Alabama finished spring practice in mid-April. Linebacker Adonis Thomas and defensive backs Maurice Smith and Shawn Burgess-Becker are the others.
With elite talent constantly making its way to Alabama — many in the form of five-star recruits — it’s not hard to see why players who would end up as stars (or at least starters) with other programs end up finding themselves riding the bench in Tuscaloosa.
The initial draw of playing for Nick Saban’s program could wear off, which leaves the need to find the right “fit” and usually more importantly, playing time, at the forefront of all decision making.
To that point, Bell is a former three-star weak-side defensive end from Birmingham, Ala (Hoover) who had plenty of options coming out of college. He chose the Crimson Tide over Akron, Louisville, Mississippi State, Nebraska, South Carolina, Southern Miss and UCLA.
He’ll now be suiting up in the Big Ten.
