There has been an early ejection in the Auburn-LSU game. Linebacker Tre Williams sent to the locker room early due to a targeting call that could be a turning point of the first half between Auburn and LSU.
Williams was ejected for a helmet-to-helmet hit on LSU quarterback Danny Etling. A hit that earned him a deserved targeting call and the ejection to come with it, an ejection that leaves Auburn without one of their starting linebackers as they attempt to slow down LSU running back Leonard Fournette.
Etling had to be evaluated by the LSU trainers after the hit. The quarterback eventually returned while Brandon Harris took his place under center during the evaluation.
A junior, Williams has been impactful for Auburn so far this season. Williams produced 18 total tackles and a sack in the first three games of the season for the Tigers — solid production for a player who has played in 22 total games for Auburn so far in his career.
